The Hamburger Company
Hello cook, welcome to your first day on the job. Read the below instruction manual on how to NOT get fired:
• To move: Use WASD keys or the Arrow keys.
• To pick-up objects, walk up to it.
• Your task is to make as many burgers as you can.
Get to work, by the way PTO is not given.

Design and Story:
The design of this game world evokes the ambiance of a classic American diner, featuring tiled floors and creating a nostalgic feeling for the player. The storyline of 'The Hamburger Company' centers on a minimum-wage employee newly hired as a chef, who must quickly learn to scramble and make burgers under pressure.
Game Play Goal:
The gameplay goal of 'The Hamburger Company' focuses on problem-solving. Players are cast in the role of a chef who must assemble burgers as quickly and efficiently as possible. Depending on the level, players find themselves either in a classic American diner with tiled floors or a rustic wooden diner, where they must complete their task of burger assembly until they are ready to 'clock out'.
User Experience:
Our goal was to create a game that is straightforward and easy to understand, allowing players to engage mindlessly until they decide they've had enough and are ready to 'clock out.' The controls are intentionally simple: use WASD or the Arrow Keys to move, and press ESC to bring up the timecard when you're ready to return home.
Workload/Contribution:
Jacob Souro: Developed scripts relating to the player controller. Created the main menu. Implemented the Game Play loop with pause functionality. Helped flush out both scenes and assisted with other miscellaneous features.
Eliza Hughes: Created the art. Set up the Tile Mapping for both scenes. Created the Player, flush out both scenes. Programmed the item-spawning script and item-description script. Created the script for player inventory and assisted with other miscellaneous features.
